7 things you need to know about BE STRONGER, WORKOUT TOGETHER!

1. It’s the crown jewel of Get Active! Singapore (GASG) 2022

What better way to celebrate the return of physical GASG programmes than a record-breaking event? BE STRONGER, WORKOUT TOGETHER is the epitome of coming together to celebrate Singapore’s 57th National Day through sport.

2. There are 5 segments

The 90-minute workout starting at 5pm on 7 August at the National Stadium consists of the GetActive! Workout: Dance of the Nation, Zumba, Piloxing, Fight Do and KpopXfitness.

3. 5,700 participants to make history

BE STRONGER, WORKOUT TOGETHER will see 5,700 participants converge at the National Stadium to set 4 marks in the Singapore Book of Records – Largest Zumba Dance, Largest Mass Piloxing, Largest Mass KpopXfitness Workout and Largest Mass Fight Do.

4. 57 instructors will lead the way

Mike Yoong, the main choreographer of Dance of the Nation, will be among the 57 instructors on hand to guide participants. Some of Singapore’s most popular instructors – Venus Wang (Lead, Zumba), Rasidah Caudal (Senior Master Trainer, Piloxing), Siti Zhywee (Master Trainer, Fight Do) and Billy Lim (Lead, KpopXfitness) – will also take the stage.

5. Thousands of towels

The first 5,700 participants will receive a GetActive! Singapore towel.

6. Get ahead of the pack

Participants who arrive early will stand a chance to win an NDP Pack and other gifts. Gates open at 3pm and limited goodies will be given out from 4pm. Enter via Gate 3 or 9.

7. It’s a vaccinated-differentiated event

All participants will be required to show proof of vaccination or VDS-exemption on the TraceTogether or HealthHub app before entering the National Stadium. Mask-wearing is required at all times as the National Stadium is an indoor facility. Participants will only be allowed to remove their masks during the workout.

  • Is TraceTogether check-in required?

Yes, this is a vaccinated-differentiated event. All participants will be required to show proof of vaccination or VDS-exemption before entering the National Stadium.

From 1 August 2022 onwards, only the TraceTogether app and HealthHub app can be used to verify a person’s eligibility to access settings under Vaccination-differentiated SMMs. Those with doctor-certified MI memos would have had their records updated in the system and reflected on the TT app or HealthHub app.


  • Can I take off my mask in the National Stadium?

The National Stadium is an indoor facility, thus mask-wearing is required at all times. You can only remove your mask during the workout.


  • What time does the event start?

Event starts at 5pm sharp, so do arrive by 4pm to chope a good spot and stand a chance to win an NDP Pack! Doors open at 3pm.


  • Will I need a ticket to enter?

No ticket needed to enter.


  • Will I be allocated a designated spot?

No, it is free standing and on a first-come-first-served basis. Do come earlier to secure a better spot!


  • Can I participate in a specific segment only?

It is a fun-filled 90-minute workout where everyone will be engaged in all 5 segments together – GetActive! Workout: Dance of the Nation, Zumba®, Piloxing®, FIGHT DO® and KpopX® Fitness.

 

  • How do I get to the National Stadium?

By Train:

Stadium MRT Station (CC6) 

Alight at Stadium MRT Station, exit A (Gate 3) and exit B (Gate 9). For more information: https://go.gov.sg/gettingtonationalstadium

Other Routes:

  1. Mountbatten MRT Station (CC7) is approximately 600m walking distance from Singapore Sports Hub. This also serves as an alternative station via the Circle Line for leaving the venue.
  2. Kallang MRT Station (EW10) is approximately 600m walking distance under a sheltered walkway to the Singapore Sports Hub.

 

By Bus:

 

  1. Bus Service 11
    Alight along Stadium Crescent (Bus Stop No. 80199), which is directly outside Singapore Indoor Stadium.
  2. Bus Service 10, 14, 16, 70, 70M or 196 (Towards CBD/City)
    In the direction towards the CBD/City, alight along Nicoll Highway at the bus stop outside National Stadium (Bus Stop No. 80219).
  3. Bus Service 10, 14, 16, 70, 70M or 196 (From CBD/City)
    In the direction from the CBD/City, alight along Nicoll Highway at the bus stop opposite Singapore Sports Hub (Bus Stop No. 80211). Cross the sheltered overhead bridge which leads to the National Stadium.
  • Where can I park my vehicle?

There are 7 car parks and the exits are installed with Electronic Parking System (EPS). Please note that the parking charges are $0.64 per half hour. There is a 10-minute grace period.

  • Where do I buy or top-up my CashCard?

You may purchase a CashCard at Cheers located at Kallang Wave Mall (#01-03).

Or, you may top up your CashCard at the following locations:

  1. Top-up machines located at the car park gantries
  2. DBS/POSB, OCBC or UOB ATMs
  3. Cheers (Kallang Wave Mall, #01-03)

  • What is the best way to get to the National Stadium?

We strongly encourage participants to take public transport. As we look to celebrate the present and the future of Singapore, let's do our part to keep Singapore green.

 

  • How else can I go green?

You can bring your own water bottle and eliminate single-use plastics. There are recycling bins across the venue for participants to responsibly dispose of their waste. 

 

  • How do I get into the National Stadium?

You may enter the National Stadium via Gate 3 or Gate 9.

 

  • Can I bring my family with elderly and kids?

Yes, of course! This event is for anyone and everyone!

 

  • Can I bring food/drinks into the National Stadium?

You may only bring your own water bottles into the stadium. No outside food and drinks is allowed.

 

  • What do I have to bring?

Water bottle and smart devices with TraceTogether or HealthHub app.

 

  • What should I wear?

Dress comfortably in sportswear and sports shoes.
