Through the new ‘Blended Events Grant-Bring Sport Back’, the key purpose is to drive mass participation in physical events and bring back sport safely and in even more engaging and innovative ways. SportSG is looking to bring back mass participation for sports such as running, walking, cycling, swimming, aquathlon, duathlon and triathlon; as well as for sports festivals and fitness festivals.

The 3 Qualifying Criteria for this Grant comprise the following:
For the purpose of this Grant, events targeting mass participation are focusing on sports such as running, walking, cycling, aquathlon, duathlon and triathlon. Sports Festivals which offer of a variety of sports & games; as well as Fitness Festivals offering a myriad of fitness/wellness activities are also considered as part of bringing back mass participation for fellow Singaporeans.
This Grant allows each applicant to apply up to FOUR events. Each event can be organized independently as a stand-alone offering or could be part of a series of events with a similar event concept or theme. E.g. the applicant could put in 3 applications for 3 different cycling events, with each cycling event targeting a different market segment like Corporates, Recreational cyclists and Women cyclists.
Based on SportSG’s assessment, having a track record essentially means that the sport business must have at least 3 years of experience and expertise in organizing sports events. This should be substantiated with a business profile established for at least the past 3 years.
Virtual participation should essentially leverage on digitalization and technology to engage participants in key domains such as gamifications, e-sports, VR, AR, and AI-enabled activities, as well as using digital streaming and alternative broadcast channels to engage the participants in new and innovative ways.

Using the assessment matrix drawn up for progressive grant disbursement based on achievement of KPI, the actual percentage of grants to be disbursed will be premised on the level of achievement for each of the established KPI.
