Coaches are integral to the development of high performance sports and broad-based community sports participation. Up to 80 selected pairs of Coaches, Senior Coaches, Master Coaches and Coach Developers can participate in CoachSG’s Structured Mentorship Programme (SMP). It aims to promote the value and culture of mentoring and supporting coaches in practice, encouraging more coaches to upgrade themselves, and fostering interaction and support amongst coaches. Mentees and mentors can expect to receive $400 and $600 per month respectively under this mentorship programme.
The next run of Structured Mentorship Programme will be from September 2021 to February 2022. Registration starts on 1st July and ends on 30th July 2021.

This is a programme that promotes the value and culture of mentoring and supporting coaches in practice, encouraging more coaches to upgrade themselves, and fostering interaction and support amongst coaches. This programme lasts up to 6 months in duration.
For mentees:
You must be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident with a valid Coach, Senior Coach or Master Coach membership in the NROC, at the time of application and completion of the Structured Mentoring Programme.
For the mentors:
You must be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident with
CoachSG may also appoint suitably qualified persons to be mentors.
The criteria for assessment for mentees include (and not limited to) a strong coaching philosophy, past contributions to the sport and community, and coaching experience. Mentees are required to articulate their goals, coaching plans, contribution to the future growth of the sport and community, and any other criterion that CoachSG deems appropriate.

This programme lasts up to 6 months commencing in September 2021 and ending in February 2022. It will include briefing sessions and observations of coaching practices with post discussions held up to 4 times a month. Applicants will also have to complete post-programme obligations by June 2021, unless otherwise determined by CoachSG.
Application will end on 30th July 2021 and the processing of applications will take around 2 -3 weeks. Successful applicants to this programme will be notified by end August 2021.
All selected mentors and mentess will have to attend a compulsory briefing session in August. Details will be sent to all successful aaplicants.
Applicants in this programme are expected to enhance their knowledge and skills in coaching/mentorship through professional discourse, practical observations and coaching reports.
Mentees may receive a monthly allowance of up to $400 and Mentors may receive a monthly allowance of up to $600. CoachSG will review the grant amounts where necessary and notify the applicants in writing.
