About

The National School Games (NSG) is the largest annual inter-school competition in Singapore organised by schools for schools. The NSG offers more than 400 championship titles, for more than 55,000 student athletes across all schools (primary, secondary, junior college and centralised institution) in Singapore.

The NSG is organised by two Councils, namely, the Singapore Primary Schools Sports Council (SPSSC) and the Singapore Schools Sports Council (SSSC). The Councils are made up of all the principals of the participating schools. The Motto of the NSG is Character in Sporting Excellence, in recognition of the important role sports participation and competitions play in the character development of our students, even as they pursue sporting excellence.

The competitions are organised by member schools, and involve School Teachers, Heads of Departments, Administration Managers and all School Principals. The organisation of the NSG is supported by the National School Games Office (NSGO) and the Games Advisors from the Physical, Sports and Outdoor Education Branch in the Ministry of Education (Singapore) headquarters.
