Hatha Yoga consists of the use of bodily postures, breathing techniques, and meditation with the goal of bringing about a sound, healthy body and a clear, peaceful mind. Practicing Hatha Yoga improves your flexibility and promotes circulation. Its postures not only strengthen the abdominal muscles, but also aligns the body, promoting balance and flexibility. Hatha is considered as gentle yoga that focuses on static poses and is great for beginners. Even though it is gentle, it can still be physically and mentally challenging. Classes typically start with a gentle warm-up, slowly advancing to more physical poses, and ending with a short period of meditation.
