Serena Tan has been in the fitness industry for 19 years. She joined California Fitness Center in 2001 with the aim of losing weight. Her fitness journey started henceforth, and she went through various certifications, primarily Les Mills programs, Yoga, Pilates, Fitball, Zumba Fitness, PowerPlate and Bokwa Fitness. Currently a mother of two children, she continued teaching classes throughout both pregnancies and resumed teaching 6 weeks after birth. Fitness remains a very large part of her life and she's teaching full-time at several major clubs in Singapore including Fitness First, True Fitness, The American Club, The Tanglin Club and The Singapore Swimming Club and Toa Payoh Safra. Serena thoroughly enjoys teaching group exercise classes to everyone regardless of age, and her goal is to ensure participants have an enjoyable and fun experience with Zumba. Be prepared to sweat buckets and dance like nobody's watching! In her yoga and pilates classes, one can expect to develop increased muscular strength and muscle tone with increased flexibility throughout the body. Other benefits include improvement in physical and mental stamina, blood circulation, balance, posture and joint mobility.
