On 27 April at Hwa Chong Institution (HCI), it was the clash of shuttlers in the B Division Boys West Zone final. The showdown saw the Hwa Chongians take on their western rivals, Fuhua Secondary School. HCI began by taking the 1st Singles match. The Fuhuanites rebounded by levelling the series 1-1, when Owen Lee Bin & Phelan Lim Song Jie won the 1st Doubles match in straight sets. But from the 3rd fixture onwards (in the best-of-5), it was Hwa Chong all the way, as they went on to secure an overall 4-1 win.
