Team Nila lends a helping hand to Food From The Heart

The Team Nila volunteers are at it again, this time helping Food From The Heart to pack basic necessities for the needy. Previously, more than 800 Team Nila volunteers helped to distribute surgical masks to the public at the various designated distribution points island wide.

This time round, the volunteers in purple answered a call of distress from Food From The Heart's chief executive Sim Bee Hia. According to Miss Sim, she found it very challenging to find enough volunteers to help out, partly due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation.

She was "scrambling" to find volunteers to pack almost 2,000 food ration packs by the end of this week, which was why she posted a desperate call for help on Facebook.
