GetActive! Playtime offers a week-long dance and sporting extravaganza that aims to encourage Singaporeans both young and old to come together, get up and get moving! From dance battles to urban sports and even tailor-made virtual activities for seniors, there’s something for just about everyone to Play On and Play Together! Lion City Dance Convention

Love to dance? Now’s your chance! The Lion City Dance Convention (LCDC) welcomes all aspiring dance aficionados to unleash their moves. You could be the one to waltz away with a cash prize!

LCDC is an inaugural street dance event organised by YouthCreates and Active Groove which are part of the ActiveSG’s Academies and Clubs’ portfolio. This year, the team aims to support the street dance community by providing learning and competition opportunities with renowned dance studios in Singapore to widen the participation base.

The 2021 edition of LCDC features a dance battle event of two different categories: a) 1v1 Breaking and b) 2v2 Open Styles. Dancers from all walks of life are welcome to participate in two age categories: 25 Years and Under Category and Open Category. 5 distinguished judges from the dance fraternity will be invited to judge the event. 

Auditions from LCDC will be available online for viewers from anywhere to vote and cast their predictions to see who will reign champion in this year’s LCDC. With 3 attractive goodie bags worth $300 and ten $50 Decathlon vouchers to be given away to voters who made on-point predictions! Age Playfully

There is no age limit to playing. Age Playfully offers exciting programmes designed specifically for those above 40 years old to continue playing and learning regardless of age. Expect a fun-filled morning with a wide variety of workshops and fitness workouts to choose from. A virtual event held on Zoom will be happening on 29th October, from 9am to 11am. See you there!

Get Fit

After a year of virtual Get Fit Sessions, it is finally coming to you live in person on 30th October and 31st October. It’s the perfect satisfaction for that fresh air and sweet dopamine. Best of all, it is completely FREE! From HIIT to Yoga, these workouts will promise to get you moving, stretching and breaking a sweat. Limited slots available so book yours now! Open for all ages!

Street Games

Get playing at GetActive! Playtime Street Games with Air Badminton and TTX! The creative spin on classic games like badminton and table tennis are sure to bring a smile to both parents and kids alike. Street games will be held from 4th November to 7th November with various time slot that you can book. 

YouthCreates has more programmes on offer to highlight and encourage participation in street/urban sports - Ramp It Up and Shredder Series.

Ramp It Up

Ramp It Up consists of two events: Skateboarding Miniramp Challenge and BMX Flatland Competition. With over $20,000 cash prizes up for grabs, it is the richest miniramp contest in multiple age groups, and the most exciting discipline in freestyle BMX. Registration is now OPEN & may fill up, so guarantee your spot by registering before 12 noon, 29th October!

Shredder Series

Interested in becoming the next Tony Hawk? Then the Shredder Series is for you! There are 3 levels of skate clinics for beginners, skateboard and safety gear will be provided. By the end of Level 3, you will learn how to drop in from a ramp! However, registration is now closed. Thanks for the overwhelming response!
